My Dog, Shea!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Here are a couple of photos of my dog Shea. I made these while I was at my parents' house during Thanksgiving weekend. At the time, I was sitting on my mom's couch and I notice some really nice light in the backyard and decided to take some shots. Of course I grabbed my dog Shea, my trusty model who never complains. These were taken with my Nikon D90.

Celebrating Fall at Cox Farms | Centerville, VA

Last Saturday my siblings and I got the kids together to go pumpkin picking at Cox Farms in Centerville, VA. They had a great time running around the farm playing games, going on the hay ride and picking out pumpkins. This is definitely a great spot to spend a morning or afternoon with the family. This place gets pretty crowded quick, so if you're looking for something low key check out Wegmeyer Farm in Hamilton, VA.

Below are photos taken with my Yashica FX-3 Super 2000 using expired Kodak Portra 160 NC and developed at Walgreens.

Family Vacation - Cape Elizabeth, Maine

The family and I are finally back from a fun-filled week in New England. We spent the week eating tons of lobster and checking out several lighthouses. Here are some photos of an afternoon we spent at the Portland Head Light (Lighthouse), which is the most photographed and oldest lighthouse in America. I shot these with Kodak Portra 400 and was impressed by how rich the colors came out. I overexposed most of the photos by 2 stops with this film.

Cape Elizabeth was a great stop on the trip with tons of green space for kids to run around and have lunch. The views of the Atlantic and the Portland Head Light are amazing. A have to admit sometimes a camera can't truly show you how beautiful this place is - you just have to visit. Be sure to check back soon for more photos from Maine and Boston.
