First couple of photos from my Mamiya RZ67

Here are some of my first photos I made with my Mamiya RZ67 medium format film camera. The RZ is built like a tank and I absolutely love the process of making a photo with this camera. It's such a slow process; metering, framing and composing the shot - I love it. The photos below were made with either Fuji Pro 400h or Kodak Portra 160. I also used Indie Film Lab to process the film - they did some great work with processing and scanning. Of course thanks to Arlene for being a beatiful test subject and being patient as I was trying to figure how to use the RZ.

Lan Anh + Ben : Arts Club of Washington - Washington, DC Wedding

Here's Lan Anh and Ben's wedding I photographed last month at the Arts Club of Washington. Lan Anh and Ben were a fun couple and had great family and friends to prove it. Each wedding I attend or shoot is unique, with different regional, cultural and family traditions that often come into play. At this wedding, I had the pleasure of witnessing my first rice-ing and ice-ing down the groom's pants - a family tradition from Ben's side of the family. Check out the photos below to see for yourself.

Thanks to Jeff Cruz for second shooting this wedding.
